James 1:26
If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue,
you are fooling yourself, and your
religion is worthless.
Since she was little, my oldest
has always had a lot of power and speed.
Though it was good to have all that power and speed.
She often struggled to gain control.
There were times that
if she would spin to fast she would
lose control and wipe out.
Times when she jumped so high
she didn't know where the ice was
and wipe again.
Some solos looked like a huge mess.
Falling and losing control,
resulting in a last place.
A bruise to her ego.
As beautiful as a skater she is....
It didn't matter if she lost control,
she was a sloppy mess.
This verse....
It cuts my heart, there are plenty of times I lost control
of my powerful tongue and I looked
like a sloppy mess,
regretting things I said.
Kicking myself that I didn't bite my tongue,
and my words came out like the speed of lightening
striking anyone in its sight.
I picked this picture....
She looks beautiful and not a mess all over the ice.
She has learned to control the power and speed she has.
With God's help and Grace.
I want my life to be a picture like this....
Beautiful by the words I say.
