Last week Empty arms posted on Sunday on Thursday I linked up with my friend to celebrate her
birthday.
I was going to save this post until Thursday but felt a pull to share it earlier.
Yesterday was one of those days.
Know what I mean??
Not a everything went wrong day but a day where
my feelings were all out of wack.
Someone did something that got
my insides all glopped up.
Like raw cookie dough.
I came undone.
I start playing those words, like a broken record in my head.
Over and over and over.
Memories start playing out.
Dancing in my head,
then I start believing
lies.

Memories start playing out.
Dancing in my head,
then I start believing
lies.
For a long time
I would be my own worse enemy.
By the things I allowed myself to say to myself.
I learned and I am still learning...
I still struggle, you too?
That when those lies come in
and they do.
Let's be truthful..
someone does something or says something
or they leave you out,
and gosh darn it our feelings get hurt.
AND then
we start lying to ourselves.
Admit we do...
I learned (and am learning) that
I need to take every thought captive.
and think on things that are....
Philippians 4:8
true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable
excellent or praiseworthy... think about such things.
When I start thinking terrible thoughts
about myself they are not
true, or right or lovely.
So when we feel the
need to dance to the broken record.
When we feel the need to
sit in a comfy chair and watch the
performance in our minds
let us fill our arms and minds with God's
word.
Some of my favorite verses that I
memorized so when they lies come
I can fight back...
Psalm 139:14~ I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:16~My days are written in God's book.
Psalm 119:76~ Your unfailing love be my comfort.
Deuteronomy 31:8~ He will never leave me nor forsake me.
Luke 12:24~I am much more valuable than birds.Matthew 10:30 He knows how many hairs are on my head!!
What verses have you memorize or are
memorizing to help you fill your arms and mind??
